We never think we will be old one day! Its just one of those tricks that life plays on us, we think we will be young and firm forever! Doh! Imagine how the Old Peoples Homes will look in 20 years time, all the old ladies botoxed up, covered in tattoos with bouncing breasts! ha!

I guess so.. I hate Tattoos .. esp. the lower back ones. I think they are the LEAST classy thing in the world. But if it makes you happy then so be it .. At least I know when I get older I wont be covered in gross looking Tattoos with fade lines.

I used to want a tattoo but then I started thinking about what I’ll think about the tattoo when I "grew up" or got older. I don’t want one anymore.
I think the body is so much sexier without tattoos.

Well they seem to think "Tramp Stamps" are sexy…..I just couldn’t imagine taking a girl with a tattoo on the small of her back to meet my mother….If you have a tattoo on the small of your back it means you WANT people to look at your ass and that you don’t wear shirt that fit….

Yes, I agree with what you said 100%. Tattoos are UGLY, especially those ones on the lower back.

Why is this directed towards women… AND a bunch of old guys have wrinkled smeared pin up girls on them. that’s just as gross.

I always wanted a tattoo but the wrath of my mother still scares me to death even at 31. Besides that, you can’t have MRIs when you have tattoos so when faced with that fact, I can live without one.

well i have a tattoo with my daughters name, its small and its something that will always be with me, now i wouldnt get tattoos of butterflies, roses or big o crazy shit but a small1 isnt bad at all. Lots of young ppl think its cool and want to fit in the crew they are in but i got it bc its a name and i willl never regret it. Why you so worrried about it anyway, if you dont like tattos thn dont get 1

My grand dad had several military insignias on his arms from world war 2, he loved them until they blended into a bluish smudge, but then he was senile, so he didn’t really care for anything too much!

I know what you mean, when you are on the beach on holiday, the number of old tattoos you see, which typically are no longer fashionable, is unreal. I wouldn’t get one even if you paid me for every year I kept it!

Frail elderly guys with tattoos are not that macho either. But that doesn’t stop the young guys from getting macho tattoos.

When people are young, they usually don’t worry about being old later on. They worry about it when the time comes.

when your old..EVERYTHING sags..why stop yourself from doing something when your young and enjoying life, just because you might live to 80 and offend someone with faded inkwork..lol if thats all that worries you, you have to much time on your hands lol

if it has a special meaning to them then I don’t think they care. its just something they hold a special meaning for. i don’t think i can blame them if it has a meaning.
but for the girls out there that get a tattoo just to have one. And it has no meaning, then they really haven’t thought about it all to much. Its stupid when you get a tattoo and don’t know why.

I have always wanted tattoos, but thank goodness I have either never had the money, or couldn’t decide on what I wanted to get because I would have a whole bunch of really stupid tattoos by now.
My husband has a lot of them and I think they’re ok but he doesn’t really like them very much anymore.
I am just glad that I never got any of the ones I wanted because I would really be "over" them after a little while.
I can’t imagine what it is going to look like when all these college-aged girls with lower-back tattoos are senior citizens. Hopefully they’ll keep them covered up! No one wants to see granny’s wrinkly old tribal ass-tattoo!

EXCUSE ME – that question should also apply to men, not just women. Have you seen some of these gross, fat men with tattoos.

I have never answered a question on Tattoos because I do not have one and never wanted one. I do think they look ridiculous as MEN and WOMEN get older. PLus I never wanted anyone sticking needles in me, thanks but no thanks.

I know that when I am old I will regret the tattoos I have. They will be stretched out and faded. But, at the same time;you are only young once. Show off your beautiful body while you can, when your old, who cares.

That’s why you get tattoos in places that can be covered or hidden. Even while you are young, there will be days that you want to cover it up. For example: a job interview,or church.

how attractive is an old woman’s wrinkly skin to start with?

are you against 80 year old women being 5lbs heavier than they were when they were 20?
what about hair color? shouldn’t they dye it to keep it brown/blonde/whatever?

Honestly when I’m old, I’ll have way too many other things on my mind to be concerned with how my ink looks. As long as I can remember my children’s names, remember to eat, still be able to hear and see, I won’t give a crap about what my tattoos look like. Most people when they get old are just happy to be alive and could care less what someone thinks about their tattoos (regardless as to how saggy and faded they may be)…they know they lived their life how they wanted to and I know I won’t be any different.

We’ve had numerous people that are 60+ come in the studio and get their first tattoos and we’ve had many that come in to get their’s touched up, and we’ve had many that come in and add to their collection. I’ve seen a lot that look great even after 20 years (not saggy, not badly faded), and it’s because that person took care of themselves and their skin. NOT everyones ends up saggy and "gross".

at the end of the day it is their decision, as long as they are happy…
i know a lot of girls with tattoos, and they like them!
im a guy and have some tattoos already, i love them, and i am getting sleeves in a couple of weeks, i dont care if they look bad when im old, i will stil like them.

What about men? My grandpa actually has a lot of visible tattoos that look great…but there are some older men whose tattoos look bad.

Personally, I don’t think I am going to care if I am hot or not when I am old. By the time I’m 50, I should be married with kids and maybe grandchildren. I will also always be in the art field for my career so even if I am working, my tattoos relate to that. I’m hoping that by the time I am 60, I will be sitting in my little loft and make art all day long.

So, I don’t care. My tattoos aren’t automatically going to start to look like crap when I get older. My dad is 46 and his six tattoos are all still very vibrant and great looking.

It’s not your body, not your tattoos. Why do you care so much about other people?

    Being an older woman….

If a woman takes care of her skin it’s not going to be all smeared and stretched out. I’ve seen many older women with skin that’s much better than these younger girls who tan all the time. Seriously women do know how to take care of their skin.

I’d worry more about the men. You really never hear many men talk about what kind of moisturizer they use.

everyone is going to have old wrinkly tattoos when there older!
so what does it matter?! everyones got them, and if there someplace that can be hidden, again.. it doesnt matter

The kind of people who do get tattoos are the ones who don’t really think of the future. So, they got the tattoo and never even imagined themselves still having it as an older person.

    I am a piercing person :)

I don’t think many people would really care too much what their skin looked like when they are 80 years old. If you live until 80…be great-full of being alive!

Not all skin sags in older people anyway, so not all tattoos would instantly deteriorate when people get older.

If you can have 40 years of great looking tattoos, why worry what they will look like when you are too old to show them off!

    Just My Humble Opinion!
