I think it helps to find something that you’re good at and can take pride in. Public speaking is hard for most people. What helped me was deciding I was going to learn to dance. I love it, got so I could lose myself in it, and then eventually perform on stage. If you can do that, you stop feeling shy. You could also try singing or acting maybe?

I think the point is just to get used to it. Take baby steps, and you’ll get more comfortable. I think it’s also easier when it’s strangers and not your classmates.

confidence comes from experience.and the only persons opinion you should want is your own.if you keep telling yourself "i am confident" in your mind when put to a task it may help.try doing stuff after school aswell.i used to do martial arts.helped alot. hope it helps :)
